  1. Soak dal over night..wash it next day n pressure cook it 3 whistle high flame.low the flame n cook for 1/2an hour.off the gas..mean while in a non stick pan add butter or ghee when hot add ginger n garlic fry for 2min add chopped onions fry till light brown then add green chilles n chopped tomatoes. Cook till tomatoes soft.add red chilly n dal makani pwd.to this add milk..cook till the masalas are mixed.add the dal mix well.add water according to u.cook futher for 10min on low flame..
  2. Garnish with cream.serve hot with naan or paranta
